Welcome to Bingaman Design, where I create polymer clay art to wear.
For me, inspiration is everywhere. Since polymer clay can mimic many materials, or just be itself, it is my favorite medium. Limitless colors can be mixed, textured, sanded, and shaped into any form. My complex cane designs are built with different pieces of colored clay, not painted on.
My love for archaeology and antiquities shows, as many of my polymer pieces have the look of ancient metal artifacts, which I achieve by adding actual pulvered metal powders, sometimes containing old symbols or writing.
As a scavenger, I often add polymer clay to found objects such as beach glass, pottery shards, and other collected treasures, to make interesting one-of-a-kind art jewelry. When I sculpt the clay, oddities happen!
