I have always been creative- painting, sculpting, and even teaching myself calligraphy- but actually started my art career by painting weekly specials window signs for a local grocery store! It then bloomed into a 15 year co-ownership of Walnut Street Studio, where we created custom painted floorcloths, hand-lettered signs, banners, and faux finishes. Our biggest project was the faux finishing and stenciling restoration in our local St. Joseph County Courthouse. During that time, my husband and I also opened "That Artsie Place!", a gallery of area artists.

I feel it is important to be a contributing member in my community. I am proud to be a charter member of the Three Rivers Artists Guild, and in the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild. After ten years as a board member of our Downtown Development Authority, I am now serving on our local Historic District Commission. I stay active as a Group Fitness Instructor teaching Zumba, water aerobics, Les Mills bodyflow, and love to bellydance!

My husband, Doug, and I have been married since 1980, and are proud of our two grown sons, their beautiful wives, and our four grandkids who live nearby in our hometown of Three Rivers, Michigan.
